“Qingwan” is a series tabletop sculpture project inspired by Qing Wan (“elegant artisanal objects”). I used origami techniques to deconstruct and fold an antique rosewood box into four spatial installations, each reflecting a stage during metamorphosis.

Qing Wan (“elegant artisanal objects”) blend traditional Shanshui aesthetics alongside pure emotions, creating elegant objects inspired by Chinese landscapes. These creations reflect imagined worlds, drawing ideas from traditional garden planning in China and encouraging appreciation of grander narratives in smaller objects.
